There is a trinket called:Carrot on the stick
and it makes you a little bit faster when mounted.
This is what you have to do to get the Trinket:

. Go to Hinterlands and kill Qiaga the Keeper at Altar of Zul for the Sacred Mallet. She is lev 50

2. Go to Jintha'Alor (also in Hinterlands) and climb to the top. Follow the paved trail and take any stairs up that you find. Once you hit the top floor go to the left and follow the trail to the amphitheatre. There is an altar there with a quest guy flopped on it. You don't even have to kill the named priestess that is in the ampitheatre because she paths inside a cave there... So just wait for her to leave and run up to the alter and right click your Sacred Mallet, and you will receive the Mallet of Zul'Farrak.

3. Go to the Shimmering Flats and find Wizzle Brassbolts at 77,77. He will give you the quest for ZF instance and Gahz'rilla.

4. Go to ZF instance. Hang nothing but lefts until you reach a large open area with a big swimming pool in the middle and a gong at one end of it. You right click this gong and your hammer will smack it and summon Gahz'rilla. He was 46 ish for us and wasn't terribly hard. He does knockback, so clear as much of the room as you can for safety reasons. Loot Gahz'rilla's Electrified Scale off of him and return to Wizzle Brassbolts.

The hardest pull in ZF is a 5 pull (in the room with the pool), but most are 3 ish. Have a mage and a group that isn't retarded, and it's a breeze.

Once you get your carrot bank your completed hammer. Anytime somebody wants to do the quest in the future, it should be possible to have them just get the quest from Wizzle and go to ZF with them. Spawn the named, kill, and let them return to Wizzle. Only one person in each group needs the hammer and everybody can receive Gahz'rilla's Electrified Scale.

Mount speed

A Nether Drake flying in the skies of OutlandAlthough a mount's tooltip will say it increases your speed by 60% (for normal mounts) or 100% (for epic), the numbers are a little higher than that. Without using any speed-enhancing equipment or effects, a normal mount will increase your movement speed by about 64% and an epic mount will increase it by about 105%. Additionally, there are four methods for increasing your mounted speed which are available to all players:

Enchant Gloves - Riding Skill: +2%, world drop Enchanting recipe
Carrot on a Stick: +3%, reward from the Gahz'rilla quest in Zul'Farrak
Mithril Spurs: +4%, world drop Blacksmithing plans
There is also a Leatherworking pattern which will enable players to craft a trinket called [Riding Crop], effectively increasing a mount's speed by 10%. However, this does not stack with the previously mentioned methods.

The bonuses from these three effects are added together, then the total bonus is applied to your mounted speed. Thus, if you have spurs but nothing else, your normal mount speed will be increased to about 170.5% (instead of the 168% you'd get by just adding the equipment bonus to the mount bonus). These numbers were obtained experimentally using a position-tracking addon written specifically for this purpose.

Using all three speed-enhancing effects produces a total movement speed of about 179% for normal mounts (100% + 64%) * (100% + 2% + 3% + 4%) and 224% for epic mounts (100% + 105%) * (100% + 2% + 3% + 4%).

Additionally, Paladins have a talent called Pursuit of Justice and Hunters have a talent called Animal Handler which increases your mount speed by 4%/8%. The speed bonus from this talent is not believed to stack with the item bonuses above and so presumably operates in a similar manner, increasing the Warhorse's total speed to 170.5%/177% and the [Charger]'s to 213%/221.5%.
